As part of the new garden, the council has asked for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which sets out what each party is responsible for. The group met on 20 July to talk through the proposed MOU from council, including council representative Stephen McLuckie.
At our regular monthly meeting the garden was discussed. Part of the garden design includes an information plyon with information about the area. Suggestions included history of Beach Haven and the site but also vision for the garden.

Beach Haven Placemaking Chairperson Lisbeth Alley and Kaipatiki Local Board Chariperson Kay McIntyre turned the first sod on Tuesday April 14, marking the beginning of the construction phase of our new community garden.
